An orbiting luxury hotel is constructed in orbit from
pod/habitats for work crews. The habitat areas stand off
the nascent horbitel with a large coiled spring which flexes, yet
keeps the habs away from the main structure. Cables mounted along
the sides of the coil carry small cars to and from the work site.
Another spring is temporarily mounted along the habitat connection
tubes and to it are attached atmospheric re-entry stabilizing
wings for pods returning to Earth. At this stage of construcion
the horbitel is not rotating, but when ready spin will be applied
and access will be via the four airlocks on the outside of the
non-rotating torus atop the structure.
